These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Pops Streams (the “Service”), operated by PLACEHOLDER, LLC(“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What Pops Streams is
Pops Streams is a streaming discoveryservice. We help you find where movies and shows are legitimately available, and we verify that those sources actually work. For most titles, playback happens on a third-party provider's own website or app (for example Netflix, Prime Video, Tubi, or the Internet Archive), subject to that provider's own terms, pricing, and account requirements. We are not affiliated with, and do not control, those providers.
We also offer the Pops Streams Library: a selection of titles we hold the right to stream — public-domain films and, over time, licensed titles — which play inside the Service through the rights holder's embedded player. We do not host or store the underlying video ourselves, and we do not link to or index unauthorized (“pirate”) streams.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service, and 18 or older to purchase a membership.
3. Memberships, payments, and no auto-renewal
Memberships are sold as prepaid, one-time purchases for a fixed term (currently 1, 2, or 5 years). Payment is collected up front through our payment processor, Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout in U.S. dollars.
Memberships do not automatically renew. We will not charge your payment method again unless you choose to buy another term. We will remind you by email and in the app as your term nears its end. Buying an additional term extends your existing expiry date; it does not stack a second concurrent subscription.
Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable once a term has begun. If we materially reduce the Service you paid for, contact support@popsstreams.com and we will work with you in good faith.
4. What your membership includes
A membership unlocks personalization (favorites, watch history, recommendations) and in-app access to the Pops Streams Library. Membership does not grant access to third-party subscription services — you still need your own Netflix, Max, or similar accounts to watch content that lives there. Free, no-login sources remain available whether or not you are a member.
Library titles may be added or removed over time. Licensed titles are available only for the duration of our license and may leave the Library when that license ends.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- circumvent, disable, or interfere with the Service, its verification systems, or any provider's access controls;
- download, copy, redistribute, or publicly perform Library video except as the in-app player allows for your personal viewing;
- scrape, resell, or build a competing dataset from our availability or verification data; or
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and the verification data we generate, is owned by PLACEHOLDER, LLC and protected by intellectual-property laws. Films and shows are the property of their respective rights holders. Public-domain works are used as such; licensed works are used under agreement with their rights holders.
7. Third-party services and links
The Service points to and, for some sources, embeds third-party providers. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, availability, pricing, or practices. Some outbound links may include affiliate parameters, meaning we may earn a commission if you subscribe or rent through them — at no extra cost to you.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” While we verify sources frequently, we do not guarantee that any particular title will be available, that a source will work at any given moment, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PLACEHOLDER, LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms. If we terminate your account without cause during a paid term, we will refund the unused, prepaid portion on a pro-rata basis.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of PLACEHOLDER (e.g. Delaware), without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located there, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
